Waq’usqideb Speaks on Coast Salish Canoe Culture

Mike Evans, also known as waq’usqideb, will join us this month to talk
about the culture of the canoe. He is the tribal chair of the sduhubs, or
Snohomish Tribe of Indians, and also is the father of the Blue Heron Canoe
Family. We are so grateful to have this special opportunity to hear about
the importance of the canoe to the sduhubs and other Coast Salish Tribes,
as the season of the canoe journeys begins. This is the next NCI Meeting.
