The greening land in springtime is a reliable source of hope here in the north, but the times are dark and frightening.  In the midst of confusion, war and sorrow, what wisdom is offered us by ancient traditions and holidays? Passover tells the great story of liberation and self-determination;  how might UUs of conscience hold that story now?

A graduate of Vassar College and Yale Divinity School, Rev. Victoria Safford served as lead minister at White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church in Mahtomedi, MN. for 22 years, following a ten-year ministry in Northampton, MA.  She lives with her family on the west side of St. Paul, Mn.
