Guest Speaker: Kurt Hoelting
Kurt Hoelting shares stories from his recent experiences with Central American refugees in Mexico, volunteering with Ukrainian refugees in Poland, and leading a week-long Zen Peace Vigil in Kyiv, Ukraine. He reflects on what made these experiences powerful for him, the growing crisis of forcibly displaced peoples, and the positive impact of choosing to take some personal action in response.
Kurt invites all congregants to stay after the service for a conversation about the topics addressed in his sermon.

The recipient of our April 7 service is the Ukrainian Community Center of Washington. For 30 years, UCCW has provided immigration services, as well as behavioral health and social services to Ukrainian immigrants to the greater Seattle area.
