Story Wars
January 5, 2025 @ 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Speaker: Rev. Lynnaea Lumbard
Worship Leader: Terra Anderson
Special Musician: Ken Merrell
We are in a time of story wars, competing narratives of what is true, who we are as human beings, and how we are to relate to each other and our planet. What story do we choose? What is our “north star” that guides us forward? The Rev. Lynnaea Lumbard, PhD, will explore the notion that we live in a sea of stories and some are big enough to help us navigate these turbulent times. What stories are we in? What stories do we want to create that are compelling, life-giving, and regenerative?
Lynnaea is an Interfaith Minister, co-founder of NewStories.org, and project director of Great Transitions Stories. She has spent much of her career examining the larger archetypal stories of change and how they can hold and guide us in transition times. Many of our old stories no longer work. We need a new story, one that leads from conflict to collaboration, from separation to beloved community.
