UU Hikes Hoypus Point

Hoypus Point
Join in a 5.0 – 6.0 mile hike at Hoypus Point in Deception Pass State Park at Cornet Bay. Although this is a “moderate” hike, there is a 400 foot elevation gain, so hiking poles and water are recommended.
Time: Plan on hiking from 11:00 to 1:30 with time for lunch on the trail or back at our cars.
Meeting Location: Hoypus Point Trailhead at Cornet Bay.
Directions: Follow Highway 20 to the stop light at Deception Pass. Turn RIGHT on Cornet Bay Road and follow it to the end. Do not stop at Deception Pass Marina…keep going. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
Carpooling: Southenders can meet at the church at 10:00 and continue to Clara’s home in Coupeville. Northenders…meet at Clara’s at 10:20.
Other information: Please contact Clara Beier or Dave Cauffman if you plan to attend. That way we can arrange for carpooling and contact you if the hike needs to be cancelled.
