Recognizing the value of shared ministry and the diversity of interests and beliefs in our congregation, the Worship Committee chooses speakers, themes, and special topics for Sunday services, and invites appropriate pulpit guests. We strongly encourage congregational participation in our services in the belief that wisdom resides within us all.
Members of the Worship Committee serve as Worship Leaders. In this role, they craft services, coordinate special music, and work closely with the Technical Team to ensure that all services may be attended in person in the sanctuary or via Zoom.
Ministry & Worship
Worship is the primary spiritual practice for many Unitarian Universalists, renewing our spirits, inviting us into deeper connection with ourselves and the sources that nurture, sustain, and challenge us, and encouraging us to live into our unique calling in the world.
Our weekly Sunday worship services aim to inspire our hearts and minds and help us to fully live our Unitarian Universalist values of love and service. Through a diversity of topics, each service seeks to strengthen our commitment to help one another on our individual spiritual paths. On any given Sunday, our pulpit speaker may be a guest UU minister, a religious leader from one of a wide array of world religions, a lay speaker from the greater community or a member of our own congregation. Service topics include explorations of religious and philosophical issues, social, racial and climate justice, individual freedoms, and spiritual seeking.
