YOU ARE WELCOME! Regardless of your spiritual path, the color of your skin, your sexual orientation or your gender identity – you are welcome.
Each Sunday, we gather at 10:00 am in person and on Zoom. Elements of a typical Unitarian Universalist Sunday morning worship service include:
- Words of welcome
- Lighting a flaming chalice, the symbol of our faith
- Music, both instrumental and vocal, in a variety of styles
- Hymns of the UU tradition
- Speaking aloud our Affirmation:
Love is the spirit of this congregation and service is its practice.
This is our great covenant: to dwell together in peace, to seek truth
In love, and to help one another.
- A sermon given by a Unitarian Universalist minister, leader from another faith tradition, guest speaker, or member of our own congregation.
- An offering. As a visitor, you are our guest; we are happy to have you. Do not feel the need to contribute.
Each service is a reflection that weaves together music, hymns, poetry, and words that comfort, inspire, and/or challenge.
Dress at UUCWI is generally casual. In jeans or dressed up – you are welcome just as you are! After the service, please stay for coffee, refreshments, and conversation.
