Speaker: Jason Hewitt

Jay Taksony Hewitt, MDiv, PhD. Jay (they/he) is a dedicated life-long learner with advanced degrees in the anthropology of knowledge, educational leadership, and spiritual ecology. Their research emphasizes responses to ecocide at the intersections of ecology, cosmology, and consciousness. They and their husband, Sean, have rejoined family on the island these past 2 years of the Covid pandemic, with plans to stay. Jay is a member of the UU Buddhist Fellowship, and, like Greta Thunberg, an Aspie. They’re passionate about sustainability, and, in their role as Spiritual Programs Coordinator for Langley United Methodist, represent that church in the Greening Congregations Collaborative. Jay looks forward to meeting the UUCWI community in person in the time to come.
