Father’s day is more than an occasion for greeting cards. It is indeed a time to honor fathers and the memory of fathers. But as father’s day approaches this year, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of fathering. What does it mean to be a father? How do you learn to do it? When and why does fathering go right—and wrong? These are the kinds of questions the service will answer through the experiences of three members of our congregation: John Long, Timothy Mack, and Mark Saffitz. They will bring both their expertise and eloquence to this pre-father’s day reflection.
