Norbert Capek, founder and minister of the Unitarian Church of Prague, Czechoslovakia, created the flower ceremony nearly 100 years ago, in the hope that this simple ritual might bind his congregation more tightly together. What lessons does the flower communion hold for us today, in light of all that’s happening in our country?
In addition to joining us for a virtual flower communion service, we hope you’ll drive through UUCWI’s driveway to leave a flower or take a flower between 9 and 5 this Saturday or Sunday! The whole Whidbey Island community is invited!
