What does it mean “to have faith”? How may we, whatever our background, practice faith in these times of uncertainty and great social unrest so that it enlivens and liberates us for the benefit of all?

Leslie Boies lived at Green Gulch Farm Zen Center in northern California from 1991-1994 and was lay ordained in the Soto Zen Buddhist lineage of Suzuki-roshi in 1994. She left to pursue her graduate degree in Organizational Psychology and spent the next twenty-five years integrating her Buddhist practice into her work with leaders, creating effective, resilient teams and change processes. She was ordained as an interfaith minister at The Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries in 2007. While in the SF Bay Area, she volunteered with Zen Center Hospice and the Buddhist Peace Fellowship. Leslie moved to Whidbey with her husband in 2018. She is active in UUCWI’s Justice Awareness and Advocacy Group and the Restorative Justice Working Group.
