Covenant and Democracy – Video

While Unitarian Universalist congregations and our UU Association of Congregations (UUA) “covenant to affirm and promote the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large,” we aren’t, strictly speaking, democracies. We are covenantal communities. The President of our UUA recently described covenant as “a religious response to the existential, fundamental reality of interdependence.” What does this suggest about how we are together in community?
