Our preacher for this service will be Reverend Catherine Foote.  Catherine is ordained in the United Church of Christ.  Before retirement, she served University Congregational UCC of Seattle, commuting for 20 years from her home on Whidbey Island.  She has been a regular guest preacher for our community, speaking from her Christian tradition about stories that have shaped that tradition and can have meaning today as well.  On September 6th, Catherine will be talking about “ordinary time,” the church season from Pentecost until Advent. We will also be celebrating Labor Day with songs from the worker movement.  Catherine’s sermon title is”Hammer, Bell, Song”.
